They haven't announced Monish as the CEO of 3M Healthcare because they know the employees will flee. They will wait until Q4 because the downturn will have started (unemployment will have risen) and there will be a dearth of open positions outside the company. In this way people will be trapped.
If potty gets this brace for the worst. Especially if you’re a female.
I think the acquiring company will want their person in the top spot.

No, I would be shocked if Monish is getting HC. I say this for one simple reason, they haven't announced it.
They made a specific point at the earnings call to mention a HC CEO was coming soon. If Monish was getting the job, they would have announced and said he was doing both jobs while they transitioned to a new 3M CFO. Clean, easy, simple announcement Wall Street would have approved of. But it didn't happen.
I'm pretty sure the HC CEO will be an external hire at this point.
Potty isn't fit to run the Subway store that was once open in 3M Center let alone be CEO of anything. His mysogiany, foul language and threats never get old to those he has intimidated. There isn't one so called leader at 3M especially HR that doesn't know about it either. Plenty of complaints, yet he still sits in an important role for the company. This Vale stuff has to be a parody or satire account.
I think all the top dogs (MR & MP especially) are trying to figure out how they can make their play for the HC CEO. Viewing it as the last lifeboat left on the titanic.
