Interesting article late last night on Zerohedge about solid-state battery development.

Unfortunately right now, EVs are still not economical and the infrastructure to support them is inadequate. Batteries have always been the weakness, even back to the days of Thomas Edison.

Let the market decide these things, not government thugs.

A prediction: Even if solid-state battery technology makes EVs cost-competitive with ICE vehicles, environmentalists and tyrants will STILL want to ban private transportation. They want “15 minute cities” for us peons.

@rch It's the other way around -- American Ford executives with Chinese employees: "Additionally, the licensing agreement between Ford and CATL will maintain PRC employees at the plant until approximately 2038. Indeed, although the executives of the proposed project will be US-based Ford employees, it appears that the project will rely on CATL employees from the PRC to maintain operations in the long term. "

"If Ford is using a licensing agreement to maximize benefits to itself or CATL at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer, this demonstrates a disregard for corporate responsibility as an American company."

@wez it means ford employees will be working for communist Chinese supervisors. Ford is leading the way to sad days for Americans.

Oh oh. Does that mean we may have to give the $9 billion dollars back?
