Thread regarding Norfolk Southern Corp. layoffs

East End Shop

I read in the Roanoke Times that Genesis Rail has leased a portion of the shops.

"The complex east of downtown Roanoke houses Genesis Rail Services. Not a railroad itself, Genesis maintains and builds track, manages derailments and handles heavy civil work on infrastructure such as culverts and bridges."

"The company has leased a portion of the former East End Shops, an historic industrial site on Campbell Avenue that closed in the latter half of 2020 but remains intact."

They are giving over to scab companies system wide. Chatt has Katter group based right in the yard now and B&P just started to stage sidewinder in Knoxville.
Always said that down the road they would eventually strip themselves of all agreement employees and subcontract. It has just gotten here quicker than normal.
