Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

The grass is greener

Well, it’s been 3 years since the great PIP’ing of 2020/involuntary program of 2021 (SPOSA) and it’s seems like things haven’t changed. Hardworking high performing individuals are getting blindsided with PIP’s after years of loyalty and putting the work and the company first.

For the NSI, I’m coming back to this site to tell you that things can get better.

NSI is a great opportunity to change career, location, or just about anything that you’d like to change. When I got my NSI and lay-off, I was devastated. I had a hard time contemplating a life after the company. But I have moved on and my life has improved in so many ways. I make a little less money, but I am more secure, have been promoted, am part of the climate change solution (and not greenwashing CCS), and live in a beautiful state with access to outdoor activities.

Many people have gone through exactly what you are going through and many of those people have come out similar or better on the other side. So stay positive, don’t let the company define your self worth. Find a new opportunity and put the company (and perhaps even the state of Texas) in your rear view.

Good luck and may you all make the most out of this opportunity.

Can’t wait until Durwood hits his quota and relies on these d-mb azz managers to actually perform work. I’ve never seen anyone that actually had any skills and most were actually rejects in their disciplines. That had been here too long to fire or management didn’t want to deal with firming them so they tossed them into manager positions.

Remember, do not allow EM thinks that they won with their lies of NSI, PIP or NRE. Let's give EM a little hardtime and start to spread the truth about the cr-p that they are doing and how they are doing it. Use any media to give them a little review about the cr-p how they work to fire people.

Yes it only took me 4 weeks to get a job offer with a 20% raise and hybrid work schedule. Every company has its flaws and politics but at least now I get paid more and better work life balance.
