Starting a new job at another company, slightly lower base pay, but bonus can increase to more than current salary. No pension, but higher 401(k) match and it was not taken away like Exxon did.

Why so many 40+ white males?

Of those PIP/PIL’d, do you have children, and if so are they still in the house? I’m working through a theory that people “without children” are considered more expendable. Less tossing and turning for managers if they ruin the lives of non-breeders.

Passing a PIP means you’ve used one of your 2 chances in a 5 year period (US rules). Third NSI in 5 years is automatic PIL.

Your supervisor who put you in that predicament will tell every supervisor you have from now on a few stories about you. Career is sunk. EM does not want you to stay or if you stay, they want to reduce your potential, your career prospects. Find another job. Your mental health will thank you for it

This is incredible...it's obvious what they are doing. I got it last year, 40s, near salary here as most...etc. I passed pip. They hate people in their 40s and up that are "expensive "
