Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Worldwide layoff

This is the first time layoffs are in sync world-wide.

in the US, you can fire people any time. That is more difficult int the civilized world and so the layoffs always started there a few months later. What has changed?

Blindsided? Numerous reports here from April time that names were being collected. We knew it was coming, we just didn’t know the date.

Does he still do the Chambers' "we're family!" bit? That was a classic!

@phu+1nHUUu3f Huh? There have been rumors circulating for months about RTP closing and CX being affected.

It's become clear that MM wants to dismantle what was the "old" CA, including TAC, and use Customer Success as its replacement because she only knows one song from her SF days.

Wish the media covered this. I was impacted, and it's hurtful that Cisco can just go on with its day like nothing's happening. It's not too much to ask for the company to acknowledge it imo.

We were completely blindsided by this. No rumor mill talk beforehand, media had nada, nobody saw this coming.
Ugh. I feel bad for those that were canned. So frigging unnecessary!
