Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Kurt Joseph Ekert, worst Sabre CEO since William Hannigan

Long-time U.S. based (30+ years) employee recently shown the door by Kurt's management team. I have to admit, I'm still pretty bitter. After all I've given to this company over the years, I should have been able to go out on my own terms.

Worst CEO since Bill Hannigan - change my mind!

Kurt is way sharper than the world’s dictator on a flagship with legos. Only ones that believe he is crumbling with management is the cookies that don’t get the fetch of the day. Sabre is here to stay and will continue to win against its competitors like Amadeus, Southwest, and Delta. Sabre has been on track and will continue investing beyond knowledge tech and news. We are the best east or west India will prevail against USA competitors and win like King Khan Kong (sRK) reference.

To whomever believes Kurt is the worst CEO of Sabre should question their country’s leaders because they have only been spending their time money away from public getaway to find a private haven for scandals to emerge out of the media minds of community or common people. Who’s been in power the whole time a bunch of lonely loners that don’t want others to succeed besides the child play of toys that have been abandoned like memories of one’s own forgotten time of past. One’s maturity and questions can’t define one’s own future alone. These people haven’t seen the world from the complexity of technology besides a refurbished video game console. Bad folks are not everyone’s equation. So the companies need to take measures of aptitude learning for the cognition or level of motivation because it’s not trash it’s what should drive every company like a wildfire spreading faster than butter on kn--e. Knowledge is power!

With Sabre expanding and bringing jobs back from India and other countries who see it as a failing opportunity will soon realize it’s never smart to play with intelligence made in America. They must prove how good they are like kids in a Santa suit to get to the saint of the universe. There is no spirit for the world besides the dedicated and non believers of bet should rely on hard work rather than acceptable standards. This applies to all leaders who believe that greed comes before people but health doesn’t matter.

Even Wikipedia employees need a good old layoff and Kurt is the right hand man to administer they’re tactics of removing facts before their figures before they remove content and place false flag bans god bless.

True so much confusion people can believe anything these days to be true but always need a dose of facts to gain more by taking it off someone else no sense of humbleness thank everyone everyday whether it’s a gain or loss should people really worry about putting their feelings over the truth to be simple than overstating the real problems they have against the world think about it

Lol even the ones asking questions which follows the same negative connotation against Sabres interests they don’t understand the basics of humanity rather than humility

Serious question, are these gibberish posts being AI generated?

What does "running around a track without a benchmark" mean?

Does that mean "without a pacemaker/pacesetter/pacer"?

Either these are generated by a really bad AI LLM or a human with really appalling English.

True but Sabre has its own agenda and interests we have capabilities that others can only dream to achieve we go beyond and excel our brands customer engagement and technology. No doubt comes to my mind Kurt can win almost everyone’s heart if he really thinks of Sabre as family instead of a group of boys and girls running around a track with out a benchmark!

Those words are English but the way they are arranged is like a perfectly tossed salad.

Are you implying the CEO is good or bad?

An answer of "yes" will blow my mind.

Let me correct you on that part he does both when it’s required though he’s clumsy that’s what every leadership needs for entertainment boredom is overrated things don’t have to make sense and sometimes it’s better to disagree than to agree and all is fair in love and war except the foul loudness with the air like it or leave it it’s the high way for democracy to shine kiddos

Inept means he’s not fit but that’ll change once he starts rolling of the desk your interpretation has many insults I suppose. Kurt rocks as much as he rolls!

Inept is a word that you might want to look up in a dictionary if you're going to use it as a compliment...

Kurt deserves more than any world leader he’s more inept, experienced, and knows who’s on good terms for the company’s growth forget self interest only nations like India Russia and China operate for that sole purpose I mean he could even be the best USA president to lead the country we’d rather have young energetic male in charge than old trash of 2010-2025

No, that is not right. Ekert inherited a mess created by his predecessor Sean Menke, surely the worst CEO since Bill Hannigan.

I was laid off in May, most of the ones impacted at the same office are 50 years old and above, with a few others 40+. I definitely can relate. The work that I handled was taken over by a young team, not sure how that saves cost but it certainly brings down the average age

YOE means something when the individual learned how to survive changes in the airline business over the years and adopted. New Bloods will bring fresh eyes and idea’s but not the depth of knowledge of the airline industry. There is room for both. However Everybody has to put in the Effort to have a chance of keeping Sabre Afloat as it is today. Just a old bloods point of view. Long live our young bloods to keep a once great organization alive for many years to come.

does more YOE mean more E? don't play the victim card. if there is E, then indeed you will find more value elsewhere. thanks for your service.

i know of people with 15+ years of exp who shoved in to an entirely new role in a short period of time. they were given a chance because they developed the right skillset of survival

new force entering the market are willing to the same work with less base pay. they want someone with cloud experience and not mainframe/monoliths anymore.

here is the answer, just in case you were wondering.

don't complain about how the long time employees were let go. its what got the company there in the first place. with the lack of willingness and ideas to innovate.

I can’t change your mind. I’m also a long-time employee who was recently notified. The people from my team who’ve been let go so far are all older and more experienced. Sounds like that’s a definite trend in North America, if not company wide. While this is no way to treat Sabre’s most knowledgeable, experienced and loyal employees, and it’s devastating to many of us in the short term, in the long run, the loss is definitely Sabre’s. I only wonder if the current executive team will really be held accountable.

I am not surprised. A middle aged MVD director made a statement that certain people were too old for Sabre and they should leave and that Sabre needed young people. Obviously the young can be manipulated with the incopetence much easier. Funny this director and many others didn't show themselves the door first.

At least he wears skinny jeans and has crocodile tears, trying to relate to the younger crew. Kurt is a loser with no clue about the Airline IT business.

It seems a lot of US based employees who were laid off were aged 55-60. Sabre should be ashamed of themselves for treating loyalty with such disregard. They deserved better. Much much better.

Yes the best years were 2004 to 2007 under Sam. Silverlake bled Sabre dry for the next few years and then terrible leadership after was even worse.

Bring back Sam G!!! A total class act.
Deborah Kerr was recoup when there, but she caused of the same type damage as Kurt and it took a while for Sabre to recoop. This time is much worse, Sabre, you're a sinking ship.
