GR was outdated, stuck in the historic IBM. AK puts up a real phony face, he does monthly calls you can submit questions. He does take some negative, but always disagrees and explains his reasons away. But, he was invited to the White House State dinner this year, I guess that was supposed to impress people. IBM cannot keep up with the Big Dogs like Amazon, Google and Microsoft. Employees know it and are leaving in droves.
Heh but Watson X is a thing! Gonna save the company!
If they want to try to push AI (even as fabricated expertise as we've seen) they need to use something other than the beaten down (rightly so) and downtrodden (yeah) "Watson"
I did NOT like Ginny, as she bought and sold with no chance to succeed - but she did pretty much clarify that IBM didn't have nor was committed to anything current or innovative. So she still su-ked.
Seriously - if IBM had told investors "these are new key technologies we need to spend on and invest in" She might have had a chance - vs AK's "you're totally fu---d show us the money honey" arena. (and yet he could have done more than "su-k it up buttercup" and sold/comitted to more than "Hybrid Cloud (not ours) and Mainframe (so passed and shrinking)"
IBM is the worst Big Tech Company because it has the worst management. AK is another Ginni, he doesn't have a clue. Put a dress, wig and loads of Botox on AK and you have Ginni. The only upside here is that IBM could brag about having the first transgendered CEO.
What a sad state of affairs, what was once such an iconic American cos has lost its way. Ginni tanked the company and got rich in the process. The BOD of were negligent.
