Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Voyix and Atleos

NCR will now become Voyix and Atleos.

Benefits and vacation are not expected to change in the short term. (Short term meaning? Till the split occurs?)

If you don’t like where your aligned, you can discus with manager and they will move you to the other company, they don’t want to lose good people. (Not sure I believe that, they are not giving you a choice pre split so why let the employee barter with them post?)

Finally what a joke the in person questions to management are on the All Hands calls, butt kissing and softballs, never learn anything…..but hey Fun Thursday’s are going to continue! Weeeeeeeeee!

"NCR@Leo's....sounds like a Sports Bar and Grill." I can handle a sports bar. Voyix sounds like the name of a po--o site. Pretty soon you will need a credit card to access their website.

Ncr Atleos just hired a bunch of people. Send the employees to training for 2 weeks and pulled them out at fired them. 8 weeks ago we were hired. We could have kept are old job.
I had done many people call me today.

I don't like the names but am over it. I remember when Verizon was formed thinking what an awful name it was. Now it's a household name and who really gives a sh*t? This forum is about layoffs and I haven't heard of any. In fact, most CE's are covering both companies in some kind of contractor arrangement. We'll see how it goes.

you know the old saying....you can put lipstick on a pig but guess what? It still a pig. I think one of the best days in my working career was being laid off from this piece of garbage company. Incompetent managers and they tend to lay off the folks who have tons of knowledge and keep those who would be better suited serving fries.

ATL=Atlanta, EOS=End Of Service. Our new headquarters will be in Serbia, or we fold with the advent of digital currency.

( Retired with 30 y service ) NCR failed to appreciate the workers and loyal staff, they promoted the least capable as managers supervisors , failed to charge customers for work, Name changes serve no purpose. We were lions led by donkeys.

They are asking the CE’s to work more hours, extra days per week. Almost no one will be allowed “Labor Day” holiday as an off day.

All to keep the wheels from falling off during the split.

Has any one thought it might not be the ELT? Maybe all this is because of the activist board members that joined right around the strategic review announcement?

Lol at the person that suggest Diebold should acquire NCR. Do you now realize Diebold filed bankruptcy and one of the more mismanaged companies in this space?

Who said any thing about suggesting Diebold acquire NCR unless that was mentioned somewhere else. The comment was Diebold Nixdorf sounded like a better name compared to these names which was being sarcastic. Thats it nothing more.

What's in a name? Well, EOS is in a name. EOS is a service industry standard for " END OF SERVICE".

John H had got to be rolling in his grave. He built a strong, powerful company that with the assistance of “most” of the CEO’s that followed, continued for over 100 years. Then in a short time the previous and current mo--ns have put it in the grave.
There should be a penalty for the “mu---r” of a once great company.

Was the name picked by NCR's chief DEI officer after consulting with Budweiser?
ATL stands for Atlanta. EOS stands for Equal Opportunity Services.

Names that were filed are NCR VOYIX and NCR Atleos. . Personally I would prefer NCR name be left off going forward. They surely don’t deserve to have it

Being a former employee of the original NCR, both pre and post AT&T i find this nothing more than a money grab and possibly selling off one or both of these new companies. NCR was a brand name, no one is going to know who the heck these two new companies are and in the long run will push customers, new and old, to the competitors that they recognize. Another reason for this is to get the NCR union offices closed. These are two new companies and they do not have to honor the existing union contracts that are in place throughout the US and Canada. I was sad to see this and it is a loss of a 120+ year old company. I hope they do right by the employees but i doubt it.

When NCR announced the intention to split, one of the reasons given was ‘to improve shareholder values’.

Yet within hours of the announcement, the share Vale dropped significantly. That should have sent a message to NCR’s senior management. Yet they continued with the split.

The comedy show they put on with the laughing and joking is quite off putting when such important topics are the focus of what employees want to hear from "leadership." Gives me the impression they think it's all a joke, given the abomination of names that were selected they are not far off sadly.
