How is job security these days at Lowe’s? I quit a while ago because there were constant cuts and reductions in hours but I’m considering returning if things have improved. I haven’t heard of any major Lowe’s layoffs lately, so that makes me think at least something is better these days.

U fortunately you are just a number. There is not job security and you could wake up way to to a “restructure” and have to apply for your job. It’s happened 2 times to me, I got the heck out! It’s toxic
if you're good at getting credit apps and talking to different people about mvp it's a good deal if not then don't do it .
It has only gotten worse. There's an hours crunch in all of the stores, and rumors are swirling that more layoffs and FT position reductions are coming.
A plan for massive cuts has been put into place by Melvin, Small Hands, and Billy Sears. They are waiting to implement it for the quarter when the smoke and mirrors accounting can't cover up the horrendous company financials. Announcing cuts and "restructuring" is a Sears and JC Penny playbook staple in response to a stock price drop. That will buy at least another couple of quarters of stock price bump wherein said Melvin, Small Hands, and Billy can dump their massive stock holdings high and then head on off into the sunset. The rest of us will suffer the fallout.
If you are a good dog handler, your job is secure.
Stay away and don't be foolish, Lowe's only gets worse everyday with Melvin in charge.

You made the correct decision on quitting the first time. Stay away. This is a dead end job and nobody cares anymore. They caught our ASM sleeping in his car the other day. He was using a neck pillow and Enya was playing on his stereo. Man that dude was out!
The coverage has been lousy for over a year now. They have cut the staffing way down and continue to do so.
It is at the end of the 100 Days. Hours are being cut, coverage is lousy...
