I’ve worked for a few firms throughout my career. Schwab takes the cake as the single worst place I’ve ever worked. People generally don’t like the work they are doing and don’t really care for each other either. Lots of nasty attitudes to go around. The one common thing they agree on is everybody hates the leadership team. It’s sad. I’ve never seen such an effective plan to purposefully alienate a workforce. I expected a lot more from this company. Has it always been this bad or has this just happened recently? It seems every move they make is bent on intentionally creating divide. It is absolutely TOXIC.

Relatively new here, so from an outsider's viewpoint the scheduling of these conflicting announcements over the past four Mondays has had a detrimental impact at the grassroots level.
Bush-league communications and this is coming from somehow who worked at several chaotic SaaS start-ups.
Walt, please fire your entire corp communications team asap before they do any more internal damage. Horrific timing in the order of these announcements.
I've spent most of my career with the firm. It is nothing like it used to be. I can't believe Chuck hand picked this clown.
This place was great 10 and 20 years ago.
It really did start with Walt. Chuck was never this greedy.

It's almost as if the timing coincided to when Rick took over.
Ten years ago this place was awesome. One of the best places I've ever worked. Now it's toxic AF, and it's all down to leadership doing the d-mbest possible thing at the d-mbest possible time. I'd say it started somewhere around 2015, accelerated in 2018-ish, and really cranked into high gear around the start of the pandemic.
Started in 2017 or 18, depends who you ask. Didn't really start gaining momentum until 2020.
OP you hit the nail on the head - what is the common denominator amongst most of these posts is the LEADERSHIP, which is basically out of touch. Maybe they should clean out some of the OLD people leaders and give the others a chance
