WARN notice

Remember to keep checking the WARN notice for your state. Chuck will have to give 60 days notice and we will be able to tell what jobs are being eliminated. I do not yet see anything on mine

What is the threshold? Also my states WARN notice section is confusing.. prob easiest to google “real time worker-adjustment-and-retraining-notification-warn-notices” - that got me right to the page.

What do you mean by you are still employed for 60 days but have no access? Do you just not work and return your equipment?

They will hold on announcing layoffs publicly for a bit - they just released earnings yesterday and their stock price went up https://www.marketwatch.com/story/charles-schwab-earnings-fall-in-q2-but-still-beat-consensus-estimates-f7f6c4c

They will let that simmer for a bit and then announce

I’ll confirm that this is exactly how my Schwab 2019 layoff went. 60 days being paid as normal and then got my severance pay in one lump sum

The day you are laid off starts your 60 day clock. Schwab will lay you off, your last working day is today and they’ll pay you out for the 60 days. the severance package starts once the 60 days are over.

Yep, this isn’t accurate, as they give you 60 days of employment (without access) after notification.

Some people were let go today and I didn't see a WARN alert but maybe it didn't reach the threshold

They can lay you off tomorrow and say you're still with the company for 60 more days, but cut your access fyi.
