Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

So about ghosting

So about ghosting those you used to work with after the last several LRs...

Don't expect any help from them.

Karma.

One of the problems with layoffs is they are secretive and stealthy. I don’t think anyone is ghosting those impacted. We don’t know who was impacted. It’s not as if there’s a list of names published for all to see. We have to guess who is impacted and can’t ask them to confirm bc it’s poor etiquette. If it were me, I would let everyone I know who I’ve ever worked with at Cisco know I was impacted, so they could help me get another role. I think ppl want to help more than you think.

Yep. And there will be many more rounds of layoffs to come.

Eventually, everyone gets hit (except the ELT GODS)

All that arrogance will fade, fade away.

I can attest to that. Got laid off and completely ignored by closest work "friends". Blocked them after some months and when they got laid off, they couldn't ask for my help. Oh well.

Correct. Keep in mind those thoughts you had of “Must have been the slackers that got laid off. Oh well. Who cares. What’s for dinner tonight?”

This is how you find out it’s not the slackers that get laid off. Good luck!
