Cisco doesn't treat older leaders well! Don't expect any retirement benefit or party. This is Cisco's legal way of discrimination against older workers.
Having a meeting with your Dir 1:1 doesn't make you a manager or leader. I reported to Directors for 75% of my career at Cisco, and I wasn't a manager. Cisco has too many Directors...that's the problem.
Wait. You'll have 1:1 with your Director? So that makes me think you're a manager or a leader?
Are you in a position of people mgmt? Or Indivi Contrib?
Where are you located?
A good chance to retire with a good package. I'm jealous.
