Spin off is the easiest part. Merge will require regulatory approval. MOFCOM will push back but this time they should just tell China to pound sand and not sell to them. China already messing with Micron so they have less leverage than they think.
They have a few days to agree how to spin-off the business.
The merger won’t happen immediately on signing the agreement.
