Have people had any success at getting approved?

Can someone who has applied for a medical accommodation give a quick rundown of the forms you are supposed to get signed? Two people on here said their Dr. wouldn't sign them (liability?) and another said they just needed their manager to sign them. It would be really helpful to know what all is required before applying.
severe anxiety, depression, racing thoughts - loss of sleep, and physical issues.
All brought on by work stress. Documentation provided via EAP + My therapist(S)
Approved.
The medical accommodation has nothing to do with layoffs. If they want to fire you they will do it regardless. At least with the accommodation you can get a lawyer and attempt to sue
if you want to be part of the great reset from schwab, go get yourself a medical accomodation, if you want to stay then don’t get one. I am looking forward to getting laid off and have been asking for it for quite sometime.
The layoff off email is another attempt to get people to quit or leave on their own, trust me folks, let schwab give you the severance.
Medical exception won't keep you safe :?
It helps to have the right doctor or provider for accoms. There is a very easy way to get an accom, focus on the ADA stuff, that’s the best free advice I have
If they lay off a disproportionate amount of medical exempt employees they are in for a huge lawsuit. They are not that d-mb but I hope they are
They were going to lay you off even if you had the accommodation or not. At least you buy some time with it
I have heard of people getting approved. I agree however that Schwab will look to layoff these people first.
Beware of the medical accommodation trap. They are making a note of ppl applying for med accommodation and will use this info to reject and layoff these ppl once their accommodation expires.
Yes mine was just approved and it was a very easy process for me. HR asked for manager approval, and my manager happily approved. It will only last 1 year and you need to do the process again one month before the year is up.
I got the note and turned it in. Apparently there is a high amount of people applying for it so it may be a while until they get to me.
Mine is in process (I have IBS). Working from home has been a godsend. I am in the process of getting the note
Why won't they sign your accommodation forms? Liability?
Go get another opinion then.
My specialist said she doesn't fill out accommodations so assume mine will be rejected then, even though I have a legitimate medical condition.
