Hundreds of employees had been cut through the last few rounds and benefits not been restored. Still not good enough? Are we continuing the RIF?

@1jv.. My guess is Flash STM staff will be gone even before IT and HR. Remember this is WD. Everything works a-s backwards in this company. The more critical and complex the role, the higher likelihood of the position being shut down
Once Kioxia merge announced in August, the ball will start rolling especially on the SSD/Flash side. My guess is that the Flash supporting staff such as IT, HR, and some upper management will be gone first.
Once they figure out how the products will converge, then some engineering staffs will be gone. I was told that in the last round RIF, many manufacturing and test personnel were affected. I guess that makes sense since SSD follow standards, so you don't really need different way of system level testing.
I heard Kioxia has strong presence in Enterprise, but not so much in Client. If that's true maybe it's better to be part of the Client SSD assuming if they don't ship the development abroad.
My boss mentioned August 2 weeks ago. Not sure if anything has changed
If Merger goes thru in August..plan for layoffs. there will be duplication of id--ts.
