Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

CTO- Time wanes, the stage awaits, and the climax beckons.

In the dark realm of layoffs, the four horsemen emerge, their presence dripping with cruelty and callousness. HR, the merciless first horseman, wields the power to shatter lives, implementing the heart-wrenching process with detached efficiency. Legal, the second horseman, coldly brandishes the sword of compliance, ensuring the company's interests prevail while disregarding the human toll it takes. Management, the pitiless third horseman, revels in wielding their authority, making calculated decisions that sacrifice livelihoods for the sake of profit margins.

But it is the bean counters, the sadistic fourth horsemen, who revel in their role as architects of suffering. Armed with spreadsheets as their instruments of torment, they meticulously calculate the cost of human misery, reducing lives to mere numbers on a ledger. Their icy hearts find satisfaction in quantifying the pain and dehumanizing those they deem expendable. In this realm, compassion and empathy are cast aside, replaced by a twisted pleasure in the ruthlessness of their actions.

Together, these four horsemen orchestrate a symphony of cruelty, where the cries of the affected are drowned out by their indifferent laughter. They embody the darkest corners of corporate layoffs, where human dignity is discarded, and the pursuit of profit reigns supreme. In this grim landscape, the cruelty of these horsemen is a chilling reminder of the depths to which organizations can sink, leaving a trail of broken lives in their wake.

Masterfully crafted by the initial poster. The Horsemen are the ones who don't deal with the customers day in and day out, but they are always the ones to drop the axe on those who do. I experienced it myself a few years ago, but am in a better place now and don't miss this company at all. How much longer does the Green Paper Clip company hold on?
