It is anonymous. Your ID is just used to ensure only qualified colleagues and leaders are taking the survey. No one’s responses are tied back to their ID. If a leader has too few people, there is no individual reporting for that person. Same with the comments, if you write a general comment, no way to tie it back to an individual. Clearly if you write something super specific that you have voiced concerns about before, someone may know you said it. That is the only way. Lastly, and I am certain no one will believe this, we don’t care about who specifically makes a comment (we already know who is unhappy and doesn’t like working here), the feedback is used to help fix the concerns. Que the naysayers… begin! Haha!

It's required an ID for years and years. Second, I know for a fact it's confidential because the store manager goes nuts trying to guess who said what.

One thing I am tired of is management telling us to complain about a/c or the toaster oven. The survey is not for these issues and the dummies go along with it and don't say what's wrong.

I understand why some would prefer anonymous instead of confidential but imagine not putting ID before taking the survey and the managers would just go in and rate amazing results for the store. Then the true ratings will show up as not significant enough.

I know it’s scary to put ID and be identified as the person who give a low rating but speaking the truth is always the best action. If everyone is truly not happy and rating so, the results will speak for itself. And if they still ignore the numbers then you know it’s time to try to get out and find a better job.

I remember when these survey's used to be anonymous, now that are just "confidential" since everyone has to use their employee id to take the survey. I wonder why Jeff changed the survey to include an employees ID, if we really wanted to know what employees really think, we would go back to anonymous surveys.

You can't give honest feedback on these surveys because when you do, the DVP comes in and grills everyone about why you rated him so low and then has the stores come up with action plans to address the feedback that was clearly about him. He called out store manager who made the mistake of including something in the survey that he had already voiced concerns about and the DVP called him out and was furious. We have a visit with Jeff and Mark in a few weeks and we keep having calls about participation and ensuring we get "Strongly Agree" ratings on all the questions.

Our SD told us to just put associate numbers in and take it for them. Why have the survey if Store Directors are willing to cheat?

It’s voluntary and I don’t even bother. A smaller percentage on participation will mean more than bad remarks however they would likely fake the participation metric the same way they do most other things.

I haven't done one those in years. Do you really think that Jeff and his merry band of id--ts pay any attention to what you think. You've been complaining about ISM since it started have you seen any changes NO!! You complain about the condition of the stores any changes there NO!! Stop wasting our time with surveys and fun calendars and charity/whoever month. We're all done with it. I just automatically bypass the charity on the pad before the customer even sees it. You don't listen you never did. I had pride in my store a long time ago. I was proud to work there now it looks like a dump. Do you really think taking another pulse survey will fix that REALLY!!

Why does it matter? No questions allow you to speak your mind. It's all "feel good" questions. Company just wants to report a good survey to their investors.
