It’s a sh*tstorm over there too! Lawsuits and layoffs, etc. Are there any MN companies with high morale anymore?

General Mills just paid out 170%-200% of target annual bonus, they seem to be doing pretty well and I have heard great things on the corporate and engineering side in the Twin Cities.
Oh here we go with blaming DEI again…. It’s corporate greed and trying to making shareholders happy. It’s simple.
The leadership of all these enormous corporations (directors and above) don’t really care about culture, performance or profit. What they care about is their professional image in terms of DEI and ensuring it’s pristine for their next job interview. It’s about moving up the corporate ladder, period.
Tell me what MN based company is doing great right now?
Target/BestBuy? 3M? General Mills? Cargill? Ecolab? Honeywell? They're all either going through the same cr-p Medtronic is, or worse. Browsing through the slim pickings of job postings for MN based roles, it seems we've shifted from a job-hopping frenzy to a position where the Employers have the upper hand.
For the longest time, it was a rarity to see an CV with someone from General Mills or 3M circulating in the wild...the market seems to be flooded with them right now. There also seems to be a rude awakening from those candidates that having a blue chip employer on your CV is no longer a golden ticket into a job offer.
To former 3Mer: I was a 3Mer. You almost have to treat any job as a transaction—your time for money. Bills have to be paid so with all the negativity on this board a job is still a job and you can always look for something better later.
@ fpj+1nAn3CmM Go ahead and interview here. Yes, Medtronic is going downhill but it’s still better than most companies. If you get the job, work, get paid, and leave if a better opportunity opens up. All of our good leaders here do it all the time.
Former 3Mer here currently job hunting after being laid off there in April. I'm seeing so many postings on the Medtronic site with decent jobs and decent pay ranges. I decided to take look at this board after I applied and now I'm wondering if I even want to interview here.
Is it really that bad that you folks won't recommend this place to other people? Gotta be honest, the job market is so saturated right now and competitive that it's making it hard to get a foot in the door anywhere.
None. You got to love capitalism.
