For those who are hesitating whether to leave this place or not, like I once did because I didn't believe that the grass was much greener elsewhere, I just want to say that only 3 months after I left here, I am much happier and life is much better in general. I think most people have regrets only because they didn't leave earlier?

Life is how you live it. Many of those I worked with at CHK were good people. I am a long veteran of CHK and I appreciated the opportunity to move up and learn a lot. Sadly the company drifted its course and went rogue. It had no course and little vision after Tom Ward and Aubrey parted. Even sadder was Aubrey gambled with some wins but more losses. The company was always leveraged and in debt. The Barnett was great but again pricing at $2 gas and terrible lease agreements forced its sell. Uncontrolled spending and no budgets. Lots of rigs but no sustainable production without drilling. Today not much different from the beginning. You can't count on gas alone. The worst deals was the sell of the West Texas assets, Midstream and Wildhorse. The other was those in leadership roles could talk a good game but clueless on how to manage. Culture training that ki-led me to be in those sessions. I was layed off and at that time the stress was so great I suffered a lot from sleep deprivation. I got a package deal. Wow but I found a new course. Life is good . I lived through its history.
PS I sleep better.
TB regrets that he can't lay off all the people that are intimately familiar with all of his screwups because that wouldn't leave hardly anyone at Chesapeake .
Glad you are happy. Get of our site & live it up.
Cool story bro
