We don’t have a preference for where your team works from, as long as we receive the same high standard of service and support. Allowing flexibility for your workforce is fine with us, as long as it doesn’t affect our experience as your customer. Signed a customer who wants your employee’s happy.
The word on the street is that BP is trying to get into Maryland politics, and he will use CareFirst as a steppingstone to do just that. The company will never recover from his wayward leadership.
Another problem is the organization has misalignment in certain areas of priority. Take hiring. We always say we want to attract, hire, and retain the best and brightest talent under a diverse slate of candidates. Problem is HR not pegging compensation to the market, relying on static job descriptions, working at their own pace with a convoluted and anything but a transparent review process for hiring managers.
Talent is lost due to the length of time it takes to get through the process as desired candidates find other opportunities.
We could have taken the money allocated to the real estate upgrades, video productions, etc., and gave it to the community and our human capital (employees) through increases in incentive payouts or better paying jobs relative to our competitors. Our people are our strength, not a showy office space.
Old HR seemed to actually care about associates. They didn't take the associates side all the time but there seemed to at least be a surface level of fairness.
New HR doesn't even pretend to care.
How can they make 2 people with the exact same title and job responsibilities different assignments? I am hybrid, they are remote. I want to be remote, since it's clearly an option.
There is a lot of that going on. This is going to get ugly.
He has to justify his asinine renovations to make CF look like some Silicon Valley-wannabe operation.
The question of course is "who wanted these renovations?" Rather than take the opportunity to downsize real estate and save money, he chose to doubledown on a glossy pet project. Now the rank and file will be asked to make this "worth it."
Have people been told they must go back to the office?
He’s gotta justify spending the money on renovations, so has to get some people in those spaces.
