Senior Leadership Collaboration?

If being in person is critically important, why doesn't Schwab make the top 3-4 layers of management all relocate to our HQ in Texas? How are they effective when scattered across locations? After all, they make the biggest, most impactful decisions. Don't they need to be in person to talk to each other?

Maybe this is the issue without leadership, they aren't in one location, so nothing gets worked out, and great ideas are lacking.

Senior leaders are saying they would love to see us in the office. But they wouldn’t give us the time of day if we were there. The hypocrisy is off the charts.
Stop pretending it’s about “collaboration”, we should deserve at least that.

@kzg+1n9YNP4R - This has to be a troll. But in the offchance it is not:

  • "senior leaders earned their positions and can be uniquely trusted more than the rest of Schwab"--

In other words, you are saying that some animals are more equal than others. Thanks for the take, may I suggest in future webcasts you start wearing monocles to go along with the stereotypical robber baron attitude.

Ha ha ha. “their visionary ideas and effective leadership can still have a huge positive impact despite being scattered across different locations.” Yeah their visionary ideas have helped ensure the stock price is in the gutter! And their effective leadership with yesterday’s email has their workforce morale in the gutter too. I don’t seem any positive impact being scattered anywhere by those clowns.

Right.... Look at all that positive impact they are having. This forum is full of examples of their bright ideas.

I just see it differently. Yes, it's true that having senior leaders in one location can have its advantages, but senior leaders earned their positions and can be uniquely trusted more than the rest of Schwab. It's not just about being in the same room like others should be to ensure they are actually working, it's about having their vast skills and expertise to lead Schwab effectively, no matter where they are. While physical presence can be helpful, their visionary ideas and effective leadership can still have a huge positive impact despite being scattered across different locations.
