It would certainly reduce the impact on morale. Give folks a choice… they can leave on their own terms. Probably wishful thinking.

I agree it would be better for morale. But I also think that Ford us way beyond the point of caring about employees as 'family' like they used to say.
I am expecting a huge push of the PIP method to force people out.
Hands down voluntaries and offers to bridge retirement would be the least impactful to morale. Dare I say that they don’t care? Yes. They don’t give a sh-t.
I would definitely accept a voluntary offer. I wasn’t financially ready when the last round was offered (2021?), but I’m ready now. I would just quit but I don’t want to walk away with nothing (I don’t have a pension). Give me a package and I’ll happily ride off into the sunset.
