Due to the email that was sent by the EC. One project manager and another engineer. As a director I asked about headcount and was told neither would be replaced this year. Today has been a rough day for many but I'm really not sure what is going on at Schwab. Numbers are already really thin and with everyone overworked I got to believe we're about to lose a significant amount of people.

I just don’t think that many people will quit. I was in a round table today and most were happy to go back to the office. If they did this to avoid layoffs I don’t think it will work. People will be back but with a loss of trust. Eyes are open but it’s a paycheck.
I put mine in. I have a fallback plan and I understand that’s not always possible but I refuse to work for a company that micromanages high performing adults. I saw the writing on the wall when they started pulling all of the reporting and people were being disciplined for not coming in enough. I think this is what they want, unfortunately. But the aftermath of people leaving is also not anything I want to stick around to deal with either. Sad what’s happened to this company.
There will be more. Ugh! This is schwhack.
Good for them!
This is a cheap way to get people to quit. They really don't care who leaves - I'm sure TPTB think they can pull back anyone they don't want to lose, but are probably wrong about that.
Don't kid yourself about Schwab. It's just another company, and one with mediocre leadership at that.
Yea we lost a senior person in operations just now. Just sickening how many great people have left.
I think over the next few weeks we're going to see a lot of people leave Schwab
I’m 99% sure that’s what they want. They want to reduce headcount so they don’t have to pay anything
