Thread regarding Alteryx layoffs

They have failed miserably

With this layoff, Alteryx has shows itself as a company that has masterfully talked the talk, but when it came time to walk the walk and treat departing employees with dignity and respect … and do the right thing … they have absolutely failed miserably.

It's weeks later and I'm still bitter about how this all played out. You are absolutely right, they have failed miserably.

Don’t be bitter, man. Put the anger to use in finding a better job with a better company.

Trust me when I say that a Lot Of people were very stunned with the layoff of excellent people. And the layoff caused many employees to lose faith in the company and leadership. That can never really be gained back.

People are hunkering down now because of the economic uncertainty, but as soon as

  1. a better job comes along or
  2. economic uncertainty dies down and the economy improves

People will be heading for the exits at Alteryx. The top talent will be the most pursued and the first out the door.

So don’t be bitter. Be happy that you’re moving onto something better.

Yes, AYX management quickly realized they cut much too deeply with the 11% RIF.

It was mainly done to please Wall Street (and attempt to counterbalance the poor Q2 outlook) but you see how the stock dropped like a rock and has t really recovered much.

Morale is still pretty poor internally and the bad taste from the layoff continues to linger in the mouths of the remaining employees.

All of the goodwill toward upper management that was built up was completely demolished. And remains so.
