  • Ford Motor Company (F.NaE) will invest $660 million to produce its new Ranger Model at its General Pacheco factory in Buenos Aires, Bloomberg said Tuesday, citing text messages sent by the Ministry of Economy.

The company plans to export 70% of the Ranger output regionally, Bloomberg cited Economy Minister Sergio Massa as saying.

OP,, not built here (NA), not bought here. Might be a small problem based on F-150 funding everything.

Our China JV is doing very well. We may be seeing more use of foreign manufacturing as a way to combat the rising costs of the American workforce. These other countries will work for a fraction of what Americans 'demand' to be paid. It's no wonder why we build so much of our volume offshore. We have to lower wages in the US to be competitive.

Ford Argentina sales increased five percent to 2,750 units in May 2023 compared to May 2022. The figures placed Ford as the seventh best-selling car brand in Argentina, behind Toyota, Fiat, Renault, Volkswagen, Peugeot and Chevrolet.

Individual model sales performance was as follows:

Ford Bronco Sport sales decreased 57.84 percent to 43 units
Ford EcoSport sales decreased 75.7 percent to 96 units
Ford F-Series sales increased 394.74 percent to 94 units
Ford Kuga sales decreased 88.89 percent to 2 units
Ford Maverick sales decreased 50 percent to 303 units
Ford Mustang sales totaled 28 units
Ford Ranger sales increased 95.27 percent to 1,609 units
Ford Territory sales decreased 21.44 percent to 403 units
Ford Transit sales increased 25.56 percent to 167 units
