Another massive layoff wave is coming mid July.

Be smart.

Also, since you're obviously clueless, we've been doing talent reviews for directors and managers for at least a decade. Directors and VPs have wanted to expand the process to all employees as a good practice to help align on where they stand from a career advancement perspective. The workday profile fields are similar to what they've always been. None were suddenly created to use for layoff decisions. No conspiracy. Just adult sh-t. Now grow tf up.

I'm also a people leader and I plan to be an adult and use the talent reviews process as it has always been used. We just did performance reviews earlier this year, so why the he-l would we need talent reviews to know where we stand with employee performance? You should be able to stack rank your employees any day of the year without any homework. If you can't, you shouldn't be a people leader.

i'm a people leader and i have a boatload of "talent" meetings last week and this. i get to spend 12 hours helping tmobile pick who to can. there's no chance they'd have everyone spend so much time on "talent management" if the real reason wasn't "cost savings" and "make the stock go back up"

Age and pay aren't factored in at all. Sh---y performance and attitude do though, so yeah, be prepared.

I'd classify myself as a prime target for them to cut, due to age, experience and pay. I've been prepared for a while.

Does anyone accept care if they get cut, everyone I know that has been cut already has found a better job and has more family time. This company has turned into the most toxic workplace I’ve ever seen. They keep making changes that don’t make sense with no answers to questions when asked. We are being led by people from other countries now that look at employment much differently than Americans. Just give me my severance check and I’ll come back at a later date as a contractor and get paid much better and have no worries of on-call or after hours callouts. Its a win win.

No changes being planned in Customer Care with Experts, Associate Coaches, Coaches, Team Managers, etc. I think it’s going to be a lot of support roles that ultimately get affected. I think most agree that there’s too much overlap and way too many people.

To the questions on severance--search "severance" in T-Nation and look at the top two results. That'll answer any questions on what it includes.

Any word on if these will be hitting customer care? Or specifically tech care? I am holding out hope it is and will be, as I would love a severance and a break from this place.

This seems likely. I was told the seating plans are changing which for the life of me makes no sense other than to whack the deadbeats and consolidate the worthwhile leftovers.

"Question that came to my mind, do you keep your unvested stocks if you get laid off? What what’s the severance package?"

Last round of layoffs any stocks pending vesting were vested right away. But packages change so never know if they'll do that again or what. You'll know at the time, if the time comes.

Not true on T100 and SMRA comments.

There's definitely at least 1 layoff coming; I don't know about 2. My skip told us it's highly likely in Aug/Sep/Oct, and a friend in HR confirmed it's true.

"Check to see if TMobile has reported it to your State (WARN act)."

T-Mobile hasn't reported ANY of its prior layoffs to States under the WARN act. You're given notice your job is eliminated and give two months paid to look for work internally or externally but not do your job. That two months of pay allows T-Mobile to NOT have to submit anything under WARN.

Can confirm that the "if this person left, how much would this impact T-Mobile" question is true in the scoring document. I have heard same from other managers.

I am an individual contributor (lowest on the totem pole) as a SWE so I don't know any secret details lol. However, it does seem fishy that there was a huge push for everyone to update their workday profile to completion. Also, our manager shared with us the document he would be "grading" us with. It asked multiple questions like "if this person left, how much would this impact T-Mobile". I 100% believe that layoffs are coming as soon as July.

Meanwhile on the news today, as Tech Companies are undergoing massive layoffs, they're going to the criminals in Washington DC to get a raise on the H1B limits so they can hire cheaper labor.

This one is massive. Entire company impacted. Heard there are 2 waves with the biggest next month and the last after 2023 goals have been met.

They see layoff as “merger is over, get the headcount back to pre-merger numbers or lower. Check to see if TMobile has reported it to your State (WARN act).

Ulf stripping markets and regions heavy (very heavy).

Have your leaders been telling you to take your PTO, that’s so they don’t have to pay you out when they fire you, and that’s why we are limited to 40 carry.

Get the survey about benefits? This is the company’s way of taking something from you that “you all agreed you wanted”.

Don’t quit. Make them pay you off. Be vocal on Glassdoor so others know. File for unemployment. File a lawsuit if you feel or have been mistreated. Take what’s yours without remorse , cuz this company is!

Every day it feels like Sprint took over this company and not the other way around.

SMRA and T100 will merge with the same thing that happened to DDMs, TMs, and RISMs. Everyone at the DM (T100 Senior Managers) and RMM level will be canned and then reinterviewed for open positions remaining. Weeding out the useless ones. Same with Director Level personnel. Keeping the solid SMRA candidates to replace useless as fu-k T100 people. They need to shake up the stagnant T100 markets. Frontline will be hit as well with a harder push to leave on your own with commission adjustments.
