I plan to leave soon. I can't wait for my last day here because almost nothing here is like it used to be back in a day when I was proud to work here.
What changes bother you the most from the time when you first came here until today?

As an ESG hire, I agree that most changes are being mishandled by the so called leaders. I have never seen so much incompetence and lack of communication. But also the average MDT Employee is close minded, racist, intolerant and unable to embrace diverse peers with great qualifications (I sense a lot of jealousy and contempt 24/7)
Consequently I have to deal with all the bullsh-t from the leadership like everyone else, and my ESG bonus is to have you people judging me and being a--holes the whole fu----g time. In conclusion I’m a diverse silent quitter, I can’t wait to leave this concentration camp.
The ESG initiatives have caused a lot of division and hard feelings among some employees. I feel like the company lost focus by prioritizing those areas as opposed to prioritizing the customers and patients. Medtronic's pursuit of social policies that are contrary to my convictions have me feeling like I don't belong here anymore. I applied to two jobs outside of Medtronic today. It felt very good.
For me, it was RTO. Some groups pushing it more than before covid. My management said my job couldn't be done remotely, even though I had been doing it that way for over 2 year. Found a company that supports remote work and got a nice increase in pay and better benefits. Still sad in some ways as I liked my job and my co-workers. Time to start fresh though ...
In the good old days when management gave you really hard problems to solve they understood it was challenging and may not work out, or as fast as hoped. They supported you and took into account the risk you accepted with those jobs. Now management is about having someone to hang out to dry when a problem occurs so they can manage up and deflect blame. Sad.
Closing Warsaw and moving our manufacturing overseas to save a buck.
Can't get anything done. Lies from management about how "committed" they are to quality and improvement but actually committed to re-orgs and moving around different jobs.
I don’t blame you. I left last month. I didn’t work there in the good old days so I never experienced that. But as soon as I did start I wondered why everyone thought MDT was so great because it was awful by the time I got there.
