I was shocked at a meeting when our store manager said that Belk was doing well and on a long term path for success. Several managers chimed in and said what about the bankruptcy, stores being converted to outlets, high turnover, and she said that is common with business that are successful. She also said that restructuring is different than bankruptcy. But Belk didn't file bankruptcy in 2021? Does she think we are stupid?

All I do all day long is do online order returns, maybe 1 sale. That is my usual day as a Belk Associate.

The managers are not brainwashed they are just comfortable with being in denial and not being truthful. In exchange they get a good paycheck. Bottum line is belk really does not care what the associates think or feel. But the worst part is they don't care about the customers either. In my store they stand 10 feet from you and listen to all the customers complaining and refuse to help. One associate is scheduled per register with only 2 to open. Being it is the busiest time customers complain and wait in long lines yet they keep only scheduling 2 openers. I could go on but whats the use. Belk has no plans to change any of it. Toxic place to work. And I know I can quit. Believe me I am actively looking elsewhere!

@fcg and @jke Apparently, there are many insecure individuals on this board have no sense of humor or don’t understand the true meaning behind Belk fakes and failures or they can’t handle the truth about Belk company. They pretend to make fun of others for being stupid because of poor writing in English language. I think most fools soeak because they have nothing to say. She does not think everyone working for Belk company is stupid. She is playing a game from Don Henricks and top level leaders at Sycamore Partners to lie as one breathes! She is spitting on everyone’s in the Belk meeting and tell them it is raining! It is like working inside Belk Shawshank Redemption retail store byand say you stay at Embassy Suite Hotel. Most store managers and top executive have to lie for Belk to make a living! Someday the colors will fade, the castles will crumble, the empires will fall but Belk stupid lies, Belk no morals, Belk dishonest poor business will live forever! You can’t handle the truth!
