Working in Belk hot kitchen cutting and peeling each layer of onion can make you weep so hard for Belk future and sad for the poor Belk hard workers! Belk is now out of the frying pan and into the fire for I fear that Belk may not survive another winter. Sycamore Partners smart and Belk genius creative top leaders think they can fool Belk workers and customers by introducing many outlets as grand openingsv and fill these cheap stores with cheap merchandises that don’t sell or slow moving! Again Belk is out of frying pan but get it into the fire! Top executive leaders and Belk CEOs continue to make so bad business strategies and call it the new and improve Belk? You make bad choices. The choices don’t make you. I guess fake it until you make it and expect Belk workers to make it or take it at Belk. Let me get back to work and peel each later of Belk ugly onions and fry some more fresh fishes and onions before Belk is out of the frying pan and get us into the fire for sure!

Made me think of The Jeffersons' theme:
"Fish don't fry in the kitchen/Beans don't burn on the grill!"
Investment firms and their CEO's have not always, historically, been known for making good decisions regarding their acquisitions. These are usually, and in the case of Sycamore sadly true, just some rich people playing with spare money and hoping that their investment will pay off.. or, just cut the losses, take the tax relief and go.
It's a gamble for them. A game. Unfortunately, it impacts many people's lives who rely on the badly run businesses to attempt to thrive or just get by.
This is why we lament and lampoon belk and Sycamore on this board. Why not have a little fun?
