Yes he did. If John Jones didn't pass away he would've taken the company reigns and not sold. My impressions is that he was stand up guy.

You tend to see a lot of abrasive Type-A personalities with nothing much between the ears passing for management.
Too bad he sold a quality company down the river for personal gain
