One of the things that demotivates me the most is when I see than those who have almost nothing to do are more appreciated than me, who am overwhelmed by very short deadlines which require me to work long hours, often resulting in total burnout.

Engineers are sitting idle with no work assigned from management. They are probably on the chopping block during the next round of layoffs.
Been here for way too long, been with several groups and one thing I can tell you is that Emerson will allow you to burn yourself up and won’t even provide the Vas---ne. After a while it will become expected, and that is with dismal pay increases when they aren’t freezing them. One thing you might learn from the Gen Zers is QQ, Quietly Quitting. Do enough to get an acceptable review and always press for the least in your goals. Your chances of getting a promotion or pay raise have little to do with performance around here anyway. Oh also make sure to take every opportunity to go to a meeting, training or ERG event. Make sure your boss knows you’re being “productive” and attending these corporate sanctions and team work is your middle name.
