Some of us Boomers were WFH before the Hub debacle was dreamed up and used to lay off those that would not move to the right to work states down South. Those Boomers who were laid off took their skill and experience with them. We have been mired in turnover he-l ever since then. New starting wages for CSs were recently announced. Starting pay is getting very close to what those experienced Boomers were making when they were laid off. We should have kept the Injury CSs in WFH and capitalized on their productivity while the next generation was trained. The pandemic forced a reckoning that should not have been necessary. Good for you younger folks. The Demographics are in your favor and your leverage will continue to afford you the opportunity to choose where you live.

- Go away boomers who think we HAVE to work in office. Just becahse you can't cope doesn't mean others can't. It's real freaking easy to be an adult and do your job without the presence of others
- About the pensions. Yes. They did take away pensions. In the sense of...there is a cut off. I'm not 100% sure of the exact date but yes SF decided to stop giving pensions to new hires. So if you already had one or started before the cut off hire date...you still have it. They just took it away for new hires. thus TAKING THE PENSION
You need to do a little more research on Allstate. They are using them currently for injury as well as property. And yes they are actually paying claims. Allstate has informed their employees of their plan to offshore ALL of claims.
So funny to hear this offshoring talk for claims. Allstate uses them for CA roles or subrogation. I can’t how many times I’ve had to explain we need settlements to pay their sub demands. The offshore reps aren’t settling claims, working with attorneys etc.
Why would you bonus a group that will be offshored in the near future?
Agreed, time for those in corporate to be back in office 5 days a week. Turn over is still very low there outside of tech jobs. Claims is still a revolving door, as soon as a new class hits the floor, people are putting in notice. Another bonus for claims anyone ?
I think returning to the office would be to quote a farmers commercial….,
Da da da da d-mb d-mb d-mb!
It’s time for State Farm to do Return to Office. Party is over. Get back to work.
@4bbl-by any definition one cannot have something taken away if they never possessed it.
@4bbl-easy to see why you are a minion based on your failure to comprehend the meaning of “taken away.”
Nobody who had a State Farm pensión has had it taken away. Period.
New employees dont get the benefits of both a pension and a 401K so yes State Farm took the pension from all new employees. They have taken much more than employees once had. Q: Is it worth making it a career?
Let me reiterate. Any employee with a pension on January 1, 2021 continues to have a pension with corresponding benefits based on pay and tenure. Any employee hired after January 1, 2021 came onboard knowing there was no pension, but instead with a 401k that is different (enhanced) versus employees hired before then. No one had a pension “taken away.”
And let me reiterate-anyone that had a pension on January 1, 2021 continues to have a pension. Employees hired after January 1, 2021 did not lose a pension because they never had one. They hired on with full knowledge and transparency.
Let me reiterate. No one who came to the company after Jan 1 2021 is getting a pension. It's over as a benefit.
The pension was NOT taken away from anyone that had one.
Tipsy also sat down with now retired SVP of HR Martinez and said the pension was not going away a few years before it was taken away.
@2uah-your buddy will love Los Angeles. He can go to Disneyland every day off.
@2uah…read news. Just guessing that Farmers new CEO might be more in the loop than your buddy.
My buddy who was laidoff at SF and went to Farmers claims. Farmers sold their buildings and all the reps work from home. They are not going back into the office.
So if all Farmers employees jumped off a bridge we should do that too?
Too funny! The anger, hostility, and disrespect calling people liars etc speaks volumes about their character. A lot of people thought the company wouldnt go to hubs but did. Theyll do it again if opportunity presents itself. Dont be fooled that anyone cant be replaced. They ca!
I want to get back in. This wfh nonsense is for the birds.
Too funny. You kerp repeating ghee same lie. We will take the COO’d word over your lies.
We are not that far away. Those working from home with over 15 years will soon have choices. To the hubs OR ......
Smart move! Change is good and decisions to make for those 15 years or more that havent faced decisions. Life isnt free. Work to be free.
Good way to avoid severance pay and unemployment pay…..
They know better than to try that nonsense here. 90% of the employees would quit. Don’t believe me then try it.
But…..people here said it was all Tipsord and State Farm was the only company doing any of this. Is it possible that the rest of the world has issues too?
