Instead of striving for greatness, we seem to be more focused on just being average and cutting costs wherever we can. Mediocrity is what it's all about at AIG. Do you know of one company that managed to survive and grow with such a business strategy? I certainly don't.

Lately IT is becoming a Nightmare, is it Accenture fault? I have worked for this Company for a decade and IT has ever been a mess, but now I get the feeling that everything is really crumbling... I also see former AIG people coming back and then going away again after a while, using AIG like it was a bus!!! And during all this caos, management focus on id--tic projects that lead to nowhere and make everyone waste a lot of time in meetings where higher-ups want to know from the employees how to improve the business... Isn't that YOUR job??? My job is Just to keep the ship floating, I'm no commander
The management has clearly said they don’t want to grow. Managing existing business is self sufficient for the compensation for senior management. Accenture has promised during Davos conference that they will help and all they need is business. They are getting it and will keep IT lean and mean. They are applying six sigma process on resources to get rid of them. Bonus season they cut bonus and allowed for natural attrition. Now they are getting Accenture to deal with all lay-off activities.
The originator of th post is 100% spot on.
We also are leaders at outsourcing processes that end up working much less effectively than prior to moving to the geniuses at Accenture. The best part? Execs get the benefit, and the cost is paid by US workers being fired!
Wonderful!
In one spot they are aiming very high. That is around rewarding senior executives excessive compensation for a terrible job done.

Rumor has it that the goal is $100M for 2023
