I hate to say it, but the company isn't going to keep you around because you work nights and weekends. Might up your chances, but life sucks that way.
Just keep in mind that there it is highly likely that there is some restructuring happening around mid-year. There are already projects who are no longer receiving funding and accordingly are terming their peeps over the next couple months.
Today, I took a day off: I had 4 meetings, 1 SLIDO thingie and 1 Cahoot game.
8 hours well spent.
Noone cares. Just do minimum if at all. Working with offshore Indians is beyond funny. They don't care either so why should you.
I always laughed when these "gung-ho" work all night, work all weekend, 60 hour a week people got layed-off. It's just beyond belief that in this day and age people can be so clueless, gullible and naive about Korporate Amerika.
@1rwk+1mysoIyR I have been doing the work of 2 people since they told me my job was getting the ax, I have not had a Monday holiday since 2011, vacations I have had to work since 2020, but now I am doing less and less of the job I have had for 18 years and I feel I can finally take a day off and not be so overwhelmed, I keep being asked "where do I see my career going, what area do I want to focus on" I assume that means if I don't apply for an open position then I will be let go with no package
Witnessed employees doing the work of 2 to 3 people for several years now since all this nonsense started some time ago. Working nights, weekends, "holidays" and vacations. In the end, none of that will matter because almost every employee is expendable in the eyes of the big giant. So sad, but very true. Disgusting.
Nights and weekends-no way. I stopped caring once they told me my job was going away back in 2020-still hanging on to what is left of my job and waiting for the boot and a package
