The Ethics of High-Salary Job Offers and Layoffs

As some of you may have heard, Sabre recently (March 2023) made job offers with salaries/total compensation as high as $1.5 million, only to announce layoffs of 15% shortly after.

This news has sparked outrage and concern among many people, including myself.
