Completely agree about the quiet quitting. I feel sorry for anyone who is still working nights and weekends for this company. Do what is required to collect your paycheck (so work like two hours and stay green on Teams for the rest of the time) and go enjoy the important things in life instead.

But when it comes to protest against layoffs, we are wu-sies. Happens at every layoffs, no exceptions.
Quiet quitting is what the company deserves. Sure, it will cause the business to deteriorate further, leading to more layoffs. But even if business does turn around, layoffs will continue to happen. Mike was criticized by some on wall street by only increasing the dividend by 1 penny per quarter (kept the long streak alive, though). Mote layoffs and maybe next year you get a 2 penny increase.
Given that there is no rhyme or reason for who gets laid off, don't bust your bu-t. I'll be taking my usual Price is Right showcase break today, followed by my 2 pm nap.
As someone said, what happened here didn't have to happen by leadership decided to behave like clapping seals for wall street instead of caring for the employees who have busted their butts for years. What goes around comes around, M&M&M boys that's what you deserve

short answer is No, just go to your work and quiet quit, you don't even need to give your best just toodle on in and stare at your desk for a few hours , make it look like you are working
