Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Why Does Ford C Level Continue to Think Americans are Excited about “The New Mustang?”

I am so sick of hearing about the “new Mustang.” This cycle of insanity repeats every few years - same old cr-p, poor quality, and stupid features. We are bored with the Mustang and sick and tired of it. Mustang has been out since the 60’s. Ok in the 80’s everyone was excited over it. Not any more. Please spare us all and stop talking about “the new Mustang.” It’s time to put the Mustang out of its misery and perform
Euthanasia on the Mustang product line! Good riddance!

In 2010 I bought a 2011 Mustang MCA with the 3.7L V6, manual trans and a short geared rear end. It was quick and simple and I liked it! No more. The new Mustang interior and dash is not for a car enthusiast, it's a tech nerds wet dream. The cross car display looks unergonomic and the steering wheel is just plain silly looking.

"Young and affluent men and women"...you are so funny! Maybe the ones you give jobs to will buy your junk, but then you will send their jobs to India, China and Mexico, who will be left to buy your junk? You think this should be your new image? What a joke.

Nice to see the marketing division is trying their best, even here where it's so comical as to be tragic.

Young and affluent men and women are very excited about the Mustang EV. Our Ford target customer is going to be young and wealthy and 'cool'.

New mustang since 2015 is trash. Late in life trying to compete with hellcat. Hahahah. Mustang was not mustang after s197 debacle. Please put it in the grave if you make another expensive car. It was never meant to be expensive or luxurious.

@1pjv+1mwTUfQX I wanted a Mustang since 2016, but there were issues in that generation and it was listed in the Consumer Reports as to avoid. I know some years are bad, and others better (waiting for the latter), but every year the quality is worse. I decided to forget about it.

Funny a post like this when the only Ford I would consider buying now is a Mustang 5.0L. I don't want a suv or a truck. A hyundai kia? How embarrassing.

I’ve owned or leased six Mustangs starting with a used1965 when I was in high school, all convertibles. My last was a 2015. There was nothing great about it and I was happy to turn it in when the lease was up. I realized every one of them was poor quality and would never buy or lease another. The current model is not attractive, and I’m pretty happy with my Lexus.
