Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

This is 100% a leadership failure

They didn’t hire the right people.

They didn’t give proper training.

They didn’t develop a well laid out plan.

They fail to admit that they don’t know what they are doing.

They screwed the state of California out of millions of dollars.

They have given Gainwell a cr-p reputation that is well deserved.

And they screwed the workforce at Gainwell.

I don’t see how anyone inside or out could see it any differently.

I agree this is 100% leadership failure. Gainwell should be looking at the project sponsor as the first point of failure.

Of course GW will choose money. The problem is the government agencies don't hold them accountable so they keep serving up one tu-d after another. Then the Medicaid agencies crow about how delicious it tastes.

If California does toss them we might see a new era of (gasp) customer service, and by extension valuing employee excellence.

I think it’s pretty easy to predict what they will choose based on their history.

Money.

The employee is easily expendable. Shown by their long history of layoffs without explanation.

Reputation really isn’t important except outside of the company walls. There is a massive falsehood portrayed of who they really are behind the curtain.

Money.

Landing big accounts even if they don’t know what they are doing.

Money.

It’s all about the bottom line. It’s a sad situation. And all employees should be aware of it. It should be obvious. The only ones that don’t see it are the noobs that don’t know any better.

Money is the choice.

My guess is that Gainwell needs to decide what it values more - its reputation or its bottom line. And I’m not referring solely to this CA customer.

They still have basically the same leaders and the same employees.

Still no plan.

The reparations are on the Gainwell side of things. It’s Gainwell that won’t be able to afford to stay in the contract. They won’t be able to right the ship. Their time is 1/3 used up. They have been paid millions. They have delivered zero. It’s Gainwell that has screwed up in this scenario.

This is the story of Gainwell across all states. Most states just bend over and take it. It's odd that California would push back given the amount of money they've wasted on things like high speed rail.
