Amazing how many people who work for Sabre don't seem to know what an IATA airport code is. Look up what PLN means. Hint, not Poland. Not unless you want to call the US office USD.

@1jmc+1muyAxBe - yeah, but we actually refer to our Poland office as KRK. Interesting that no one is referencing that way.

PLN is Poland for someone who works for Sabre but doesn't know what an IATA code is.

You’re all forgetting UK and MVD locations too, though they will likely be less affected.

2200 in US.
Expect 500 to be cut from US.

Even if in "Maintenance" mode, they need people to keep things running.

Never understood the superficial numbers on COST, specially for BLR.

In my 8yr at Sabre never seen BLR out perform PLN or US.

Features would take twice as much time to be Production Ready.

I estimate about 1500 employees are US based, about 3000 are PLN and about 3000 BLR. This is not exact but good ballpark numbers. US will most likely get hit at 25% while other areas most likely 10%. Just my guess as US cost is 2x PLN and 4x BLR so cutting 1 US employee is equivalent to 2 in PLN or 4 in BLR.

Sabre will transition to offshoring and hiring contractors. Surviving May 15 will be short lived. Top execs will stay while they offshore all workforce to low cost locations.
