How are the CPM affected folks notified ? Is it just an email, that you have 9 weeks or the manager first notifies you as heads up and then the email follows ?

Involuntary, your manager meets with you to tell you. afterwards you get an email from CPM.
I took voluntary CPM. Applied and was notified of a successful application about a week after the application window closed. End of Jan. was the final day. Got 200K euro into the pocket and walked out the door with a little smirk on my face. By all accounts the place is in a heap as they haven't two brown pennies to rub together. Bye Felicia!
I was in PESG and asked for a VSP. Initially I was refused, but later added to the chopping list. Very happy for the departing gift! Then my Indian boss told me with a fake sadness that I was CPMed and I almost exploded with joy. Finally came an email with CPM details and an HR link where the layoff package was explaied.
I took voluntary CPM. As far as I know everyone who applied got accepted. I was notified by Email. My manager only found out about it after the event.
