I think that a lot of us here put in great efforts but never manage to advance in our careers. How far have you progressed here? Those who have made significant career progress here, how did you succeed in doing so?

My last boss never showed up for weekly 1:1’s she scheduled, never contributed and took credit for everyone else’s work on her team. It’s a popularity game. Hard work is not rewarded.
^ poison attitude
I keep having calls about updating my profile, telling me to be flexible with movement in a role. not sure why they keep telling us this when we were told our jobs would be going away and we'd get a package.
I opted for the in-office early retirement program in Plano and made out quite well.
Used to be that if you performed you were recognized. Now as you age you are sent to the bull pin...
tough to move to a new role when they won't let you leave your current role
Don’t stay in one role too long but move around often. Depends also on function. Some functions, like HR and marketing, promote extremely fast. Others, like finance and IT do not. Try to find leaders to work for who are also ambitious in their careers and will “take others with them”
Identifying as a minority is one way to get ahead. Extra points for female minorities. My group only hires and promotes minority females and our diversity scorecard exceeds the targets by a lot. It’s in our PDR objectives and kinda screws over everyone else. Competency need not matter if you check the boxes.

Its really simple you go above and beyond every chance you get without being asked and never follow the advice of the id--ts in here that tell you it can't be done and to lay down instead of performing!! No work ethic and a poison attitude is a sure fire way to never advance!! I can't wait for the haters to descend like locusts in the comments and I do wish they would find employment elsewhere and make PepsiCo great again!!
