The inflation reduction act is a garbage liberal idea that will make things worse for us true conservatives.
Since quarantine, my net worth has doubled. All my investments have sky rocketed. And thanks to our previous president's tax breaks for large corporation, they have bought back much of their stock - leaving us remaining shareholders that mich wealthier.
I've bought 7 rental properties in the last two years and absolutely cranked up the rent on all if my renters. The rents more than pay for the mortgages and leave me coming out way ahead.
I hope that this plant goes forward. I already have my real estate agent gathering up property options for me near the plant. I'll be happy to rent to the future battery plant operators.
We give $7,500 tax credit on the EV itself, then subsidize the Marshall Michigan battery plant with another $1.75B, offer a reduced electric rate for charging, have lower license plate fees and on top of all this the EV owners are skipping the fuel road tax. We see there is also a $630M tax 'more' incentive from Whitmer.
The producer of these vehicle loses $58,333 per vehicle - is this also a tax write off we tax payers are flipping the bill for?
Lets just give these POS's away for free and eliminate the government bureaucracy costs, we can makeup the final cost upon battery replacements and have high cost concession stands when these drivers feel the need to take a weekend road trip.
Wonder what the real TOTAL tax incentive is on these EV vehicles? All the folks end up paying, there's no magic to wipe out the final number.
