Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Tire Guy must go!

What a despicable person. We hired a guy to run manufacturing who moved tires and brewed coffee. That is not even the part that is bad. He is a total condescending and belittling jerk.

You can tell coffee boy has a fetish for ruining people’s lives, he loves it. Watch his face in the announcements. Im sure he was picked on as a kid and this is his way of pay society back. He thinks he is a reincarnated GE Welch, but truthfully just a sad and corrupt little boy.

Coffee and tires? Seriously? As Perot once said, “that’s like taking the manager of the corner dr-g store and putting him in charge of Walmart corporation.”

At least Leinenkugel and Keel actually understood our manufacturing processes end to end and Supply Chain. Coat tail riders and Special treatment bo--s like Hammes, and Tire Man have no clue. Tire man doesn't know Jack squat about the complexity of production lines, the numerous touch points 3M products have, and what it takes to assemble even Post It Notes at a Sub Con. He really is clueless and a bad fit for 3M. I wouldny believe Mike Roman could make such a disastrous hire except, Magic Mike is a one trick pony himself.

Yes, Hammes with exactly zero supply chain or manufacturing experience was the EO chief before Tireman. That position has been a revolving door of id--ts. Before Hammes it was Leinenkugel, and GE alumnus Paul Keel before that.

Wasn't Hammes in charge of EO before tireman? Was he that bad that we jumped the shark and brought in a Starbucks and tire hub guy????

Tireman perfectly exhibits Theory X management style.

  1. It's always YOUR fault, not mine
  2. Pompous and petulant demeanor such as "you are so lucky to have me"
  3. I'm the real reason for our success, you are the reason if we fail
  4. A legend in his own mind

Agree. Tireman has no strategy at all. all he knows is keep cutting headcount. He is another One-trick Pony.
