That’s 68%, I find that math hard to believe.

How many people do we have in US now? I suspect the regional headquarters will be hit harder as well, except for the lower cost locations

As usual, the US will be hit hardest as we are the least protected, legally.
I’ve survived these RIFs for decades but now I am worried. We are bare bones as it is… who will do the work?

Headcount management is nothing new, and through attritions companies can manage corrections in a better way , example 3 leavers for 1 new hire in the position needed. Checking at statistics for similar companies in terms of market cap, they run the companies with headcount from 500-3000. Sabre should have invested much upfront to change the operating model, invest on automation, manage the teams as not dedicated in a project , but shifting around as workload demand suggests. There was a negative cashflow for over 2 years now and stats can't lie.. freezing or limiting hiring or shifting people around could minimize the impact. Good luck to all.

Leaders can’t even face their people and have to read from HR script… they should start by trimming the fat at the top - the huge salaries and bonuses they get no matter what the earnings are..

My guess is it will be mainly US/UK due to the higher salaries. But that also means any RE-hiring will be offshore. They might as well stop being a “US-based” company at this point and admit they are “India-based”.

Being an employee of 30+ years, I feel like my time has finally come. I've weathered many layoffs through the years, but I'm not feeling good about this one. Maybe it's a good thing - we'll see how it shakes out.

The expectation for EOY 2023 is to have a positive cash flow, EXCLUDING the 15% headcount decrease so, someone might ask why is the 15% reduction is even needed. They might end up rehiring again soon, like they did so many times.
