Two price reductions and incentive financing and still few buyers. Cars.com has 2700+ Mach-E’s that were customer ordered but not delivered
The $700 million EV loss is starting to make sense now.

@1imn, in convinced you're the same troll who may or not be PR. Either way, it sounds like you're brand new to the industry. Price wars have only just begun, and will get intense as the market gets flooded with expensive EVs the majority is reluctant to commit to.
Mach E is not a full Model e developed offering. The new Model e vehicles will not suffer the need to regularly reduce the price to entice customers. Thats why so much effort by leadership and resources are behind Model e right now (to develop the data based features, apps, etc) that will generate customers interest.
Exactly one year after purchasing the electric Mustang Mach-E, I'd like to share my thoughts, pros and cons of driving an all electric car.
Pros:
Cons:
In Summary:
In my opinion, a plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) car would be ideal. PHEV cars can drive electric in the city, saving you on gas. Then choose gas to drive efficiently on the highway. Win-win!
I sold my Mustang Mach-E and I am on a waiting list to buy a PHEV. It was a fun ride while it lasted but very impractical for my line of work. Our cold Quebec winters and the very poor infrastructure adds to my obvious decision.
Our governments want to put a holt on the production of internal combustion engines by 2035. Good luck with that! The current infrastructure is a joke. I do not have any faith it can be improved to meet the future demand.
Consider the market effect of the govt rebate.
Without the rebate, ala ‘free market, …….
Imagine if the OEM had to further lower the price by $7k to entice the consumer to make the purchase.
How much larger would the Ford-E loss be if Ford had to lower the price by an amount equal to the govt rebate, or issue it’s own rebate.
I guess as long as the government keeps giving us money to build them...
"It is easier to fool someone than it is to convince them they have been fooled."
We lose money on every EV we sell, but plan to make it up with volume 🤣🤣🤣
