Overall women have less flexibility to tolerance toxic environment for longer term due the role they play at home . Often time , a toxic working environment will eventually take away energy/time a women can spend with family and kids.

I start seeing that I couldn't find time to cook dinner or to read stories to my kids because there's endless work to be done and my boss is threating to give bad ratings on my year end review.
At the end , I need to ask if this job and paycheck worth it or not

In my function it was mostly men that took VERP. Not sure what conclusions OP is trying to draw from this anecdotal sample of retirees.

I think women decide to leave as soon as the situation and management becomes very toxic. And that is how the bad ones stay/survive...

CRM was easily 50/50, some male VPs for sure.

It was 50% men/women who took it in my enterprise function. Would be interesting to see the number company wide. The few people I knew who declined it just weren’t in the financial space to retire just yet. Being unmarried/divorced or having kids in college plays a role in that.
