Nordstrom dumping both stores in downtown San Francisco. I know downtown SF isn't the same as it once was but I'm surprised to see this move. They were planning a major remodel for the SF flagship up until Covid. Wonder which other stores could be on the chopping block.

You park your car in the old valet space along Market Street, ride the curving escalators up into AutoZone, and Hector will not only find you the right alternator, but he’ll even help you install it streetside. The tradition of Nordstrom high-touch service is preserved, the torch is passed.
I guess that whole urban mall space on Market St. goes with Nordstrom. Who could possibly fill that elegant space? Dollar Store, an AutoZone, maybe a GNC, or all of these together? The truth is the thieves will move on to loot any remaining stores in the mall, with no real shoppers in sight. How are the movie theaters doing? When will Macy’s close their Union Square fls? SF is in a downward spiral.
San Francisco is a war zone. I was robbed in the men’s lobby bathroom of the Westin St Francis Hotel in Union Square last year, luckily all he took was $30 and an empty wallet I carry as a decoy.
Who would shop in downtown SF anymore? It’s a war zone. This seems like a smart move to me.
Good half of the employees are racist anyway. The will call loss prevention on someone simple based off the color of their skin. Plus they treat the homeless people like sh-t.
I am sad. I loved this store.
