The houston and heritage COP leaches that care more about making powerpoints than making the company money. COP has cut employees every year since 2014 - down from 19,100 in 2014 to 9,500 in 2023. The only thing COP has going for it is a pile of shrinking cash.

The permian BU will be the last to shut down/be divested, so there's that.

If Concho was such a success then how was COP able to acquire at such a bargain basement price?

If so successful then why didn’t Concho aquire COP?

Look closely at the name on the top of your paystub.

Con is having to work with heritage COP people who want to flaunt how successful and knowledgeable they are, yet when it comes to actual work they are worthless.
Pro is hybrid work schedule and 9/80 or 1/2 day Fridays. Not many places in Midland offer WFH options.

It’s just like any other team here at COP….a bunch of staff trying to balance multiple tasks at once while not mastering any of them, clueless supervisors who are technically incompetent, and asset managers who kiss a-s and view the world through rose colored glasses. The pros are we get free ice cream and bananas in the cafeteria. Got to keep the monkeys fed!
